As we are the professional of manufacturing stud conversion, lug bolts & lug nuts, and wheel components with the best technology & ISO standards, not garage style making, we aim to produce high performance products that come together with aesthetic. Designed and calculated by our team of engineers from King’s College of London, our products have been designed & calculated to perfectly fit with wheel hub, brake rotor, wheel, lug nuts, and other components. At M1 AUTOWERK, we start the design process with CAD drawings. We move from CAD drawings to 3D computer graphics to a full-size mock-up. Every detail is scrutinized and every measurement verified until the design is finalized. After that, it is our safety policy to make the actual scale & material product samples and send them to lab tested & certified, then tested them in the race circuit to ensure that safety issue is our important basic requirement, before making the real products and putting them into the market.

A stud conversion must pass a set of standard tests for strength before it is introduced to the market. We use 3D computer graphics and computer analysis to determine if the strength meets the relevant standards. Design & material specification that aim highest performance especially must clear this computer analysis step before they are ever created in metal. With the computer analysis as an important tool, we achieve both practically high performance and strength that meets our standard & world standard, without spoiling the leading-edge quality of our designs & technologies.

Chromoly steel [CrMo] is a premium steel grade that contains Chromium and Molybdenum. They have an excellent strength to weight ratio and are considerably stronger and harder than normal steel. Chromoly steel is widely use in the racing technology because it is stronger, lighter, and more heat resistant than normal steel.
At M1 AUTOWERK, we produce studs with forging technology as the best technology of manufacturing stud. Forged Stud is stronger than machining stud because the mass of the stud has more density than machining process. Cold forged forming process increases toughness of the studs. It also produces excellent dimensional accuracy and surface quality of cold extruded parts.

Heat treatment is vital to stabilize such stud characteristics as strength, rigidity, hardness, and elongation. At the same time, it removes stress throughout the stud and improves the stud’s accuracy of its measurements. M1 AUTOWERK puts its stud through heat treatment to obtain the ultimate strength.
Finishing is the final process that determines stud appearance. At M1 AUTOWERK, we use EDP coating, which is the hi-end class of the anti-corrosion finished. EDP coating is 20 times more than black oxide and black phosphate in the salt spray test. It is smoother than Black Phosphate. Feeling like dry-lube, the EDP coating make the lug nuts faster drived in. The EDP coating also gives solid glossy black look & smooth touch.
Before M1 AUTOWERK products out into the market, we have been lab tested & certified that our studs are very safe. They are premium quality class 10.9 bolt. By lab testing, we are proud to say that our forged chromoly steel studs can last for 2,000 HP, or 3,000 Nm torque, or 10 tons maximum tensile strength. Not even in the Lab, we're also road testing on our M1's demo car. It was everyday used for testing for more than 6 months (Since we've finished our actual sampling, and use them to photo shoot). We are also testing it on the race cars, for example Drag racing, and circuit racing.
Not even in the Lab, but we also have been road and track tested.
M1 AUTOWERK Stud Conversion has been road tested on our demo cars more than 6 months before they coming out of the factory. M1's stud conversion on our demo cars were everyday used in low - high velocity, hard & crusing driving to make sure that it is safe and able to get rid of steering wheel shaking.
We were also tested our products on the race cars both drag racing and circuit racing to ensure that it has ultimate strength and last in max horse power & torque in the race situation!
